Things to keep in mind when seeking healthcare

  • Take valid ID with you
  • Arrive on time. If you are late you will forfeit your booked appointment and will have to pay a fee for failing to show up.
  • Waiting times may be long when seeking emergency care
  • Cancel your appointment in the event you are unable to attend to avoid having to pay a fee for failing to show up.

Invitation letter: An invitation letter is an invitation/request to come to a clinic to see a doctor or undergo an examination at a certain time on a certain date, for example.

Referral: the referral of a case to a specialist

Interpretation

You are entitled to interpretation when you see a doctor or nurse at ÅHS. If necessary, a telephone interpreting service in your language will be available. Let the service know in advance whether you require an interpreter.
